Autoscopy

Recently I have been watching all of the marvel movies so I decided that it was going to be a fun idea to try and combine the world that I have now and something that isn't real. I chose a different sky and color scheme to make the alien world pop out a bit. I added a horse running because as a kid I always loved riding horses. I then added the UFO, birds and the avengers quinjet to make it something that isn't possible. Bringing the 2 worlds together in different colors almost making it look like it wasn't taken on earth but somewhere else. The images below are all of the original images that went into this final product.

  1. Hey Meagan, great job with this assignment. I really like that you took the assignment and made it artwork with meaning behind it. I love that you've combined your younger selves ambitions and meshed it with ur current selves interest. The colors you picked really make the image pop. Great job!

  2. Hi Meagan,

I really liked your creativity in this assignment. Specifically, I liked your choice of images, as I thought they really work well with this idea of altering reality. I think the color palette in your autos copy is really cool! I like how vivid the purple and the green are, really making the image and object pop. In your description, you say how you hoped that the choice of colors would give viewers the feel that the scene doesn't take place on earth but somewhere else. I think that you definitely accomplished this! The meaning of why you chose the layering images is also really cool.

  3. Great job on the assignment! I really like how you went about it and the meaning that it has with the marvel movies. The colors you used were really unique and went well together. I like how you used the purple sky and made the grassy area greener. I also really liked how you were able to tie the images of the horse, birds, UFO, and jet into the image. They flowed nicely with the photo. The ideas you had with the assignment were really cool!

  4. Did you intend to make yourself green? I like it but I was just wondering if that was on accident or not. I like how there's a lot to look at because there's a bunch going on in the image.

  5. Hi Meagan,
I really like how this project turned out. First off, I love you chose to incorporate something you are interested in as the theme, Marvel. That makes it much more interesting than picking something random. I love the alien and out of this realm theme. It really works with the autoscopy idea of altering reality. It was a cool effect to have the green purple background so that the other image in the foreground would pop! I like how you have several elements that all seem to fit under the same visual theme. Nice job!

  6. Her Megan incredible job with implementing so much detail to the background. If this was a movie you could fit right in with the setting of that movie. Just fantastic
